Views of Vino Country...A Gilmpse of Argentina

View Central & South America on chellebelle's travel map.

Our time in Argentina wasn't brief. To be honest we wished we had longer as we enjoyed loved our small amount of time in this dynamic country. We spent our time in two different wine areas, Salta and Mendoza. Both were completely different but both were exciting places to visit. We loved visiting the vineyards and sampling there large range of wines. Our time included a rather longer than expected (22km compared to the 10km I promised) bike ride to look at a rock that looked like a frog, daily eating of empanadas while we were in Salta and extensive wine tasting.
Mendoza was a lot more touristy and the wineries were set up to cater for large crowds, the price also went up with that.
Our first glimpse of Argentina was fantastic, we can't wait to see more of this beautiful country, hopefully next time it will include Patagonia.

Here is the photostream from flickr but the albums can be seen under each heading
